Thanks to our friends and neighbors who both helped out and came out and made our first ever Christmas Valley Farmer's Market a success! It was so great to meet new neighbors, make new friends, and share a lovely morning together. We may be small, but we're honest and we're your neighbors and you can see exactly how we produce what we produce, how our critters live getting fresh air and sunshine and the best care and feed and lifestyle we can give them, how our garden grows, and know that what we offer is produced as purely and naturally as possible. We had several people ask us the $64,000 question, "Is it organic?" To which we replied with the same answer. We are not allowed to use that term unless we pay the government and jump through their hoops for permission to use it. But we will tell you how we do things, and you can judge whether you'd rather get your food here straight from farm to your table, or go to the store and buy something that bears that label but whose past you know very little about.

We love the whole concept of farmer's markets, and appreciate that people are hungry, in more ways than one, to get back to cleaner, more locally produced (the whole "locovore" movement) food. Especially with all the things we hear about the degradation of our commercial food supply. But we've been disappointed somewhat. Produce sold by someone from an Arizona farm, when asked, they admit that they bought elsewhere to sell at the farmer's market. At times produce grown within the state just doesn't appear really fresh; makes you wonder how long ago and far away it was harvested and packaged. Baked goods represented as homemade turn out to come from Sam's Club. Anyhow, those are isolated - we're sure the majority of vendors are genuine and do their best to supply good, wholesome, natural foods.

BUT - we want to be someplace where you can be sure that what you get is absolutely and completely homegrown and as fresh as humanly possible (we'll show you the garden it came out of yesterday!) and homemade. We may not be the prettiest (yes, my cranberry bread collapsed somewhat

when I opened the oven too soon!) or have everything , but we are genuine! So - if you want to be a part of our growing farm family, stop by and check us out! We'd love to become a part of your regular weekly food choices. We'd love for you to become part of the Christmas Valley family.

CALLING ALL GRASS FED BEEF EATERS!

Ok, everyone, we have a steer here that came down from the ranch with our last sold steer. He was too small to process at that point,...
