Salad - before and after! Tomorrow at the farmers market we will have baby spinach, baby rainbow carrots, red sails lettuce, and salad mix. Then of course bread, chicken, eggs; elderberry syrup, whipped honey butter, freezer raspberry jam, raw local honey; cocoa and shea butter lotion, with a couple new flavors; lip balm (I'll also be experimenting tonight with a tinted lip balm, keep your fingers crossed!); whipped shea lavender body butter; cocoa mint foot mousse. Becky Howard is under the weather so unfortunately she and her delectable baked goodies won't be here this week... But hopefully next week!

We are learning as we go here. We have experimented with different types of bags. We theorized that the bags with the tiny holes would enable the lettuce to stay fresh longer without getting scummy like lettuce can do. But it wasn't until someone mentioned that their lettuce had wilted after a few days, that we decided to do an experiment of our own. Up to that point we had eaten our lettuce in a couple days (we are saladaholics!) and never gave it a chance to wilt. So we bagged two bags of lettuce at the same time, one in the hole-y bag and one in a regular bag. And sure enough, the one in the hole-y bag started to wilt after just a few days. We are so aggravated! ! SO....if you bought lettuce from us, and were disappointed cause it wilted, PLEASE give us another chance to provide you with the freshest lettuce anywhere - well, except from your own garden! We are now using the other type of bags and find that the lettuce lasts WAAAAAY longer. Please accept our apologies if yours wilted. If you come see us, and tell us, we will give you a free bag to replace the other one!

CALLING ALL GRASS FED BEEF EATERS!

Ok, everyone, we have a steer here that came down from the ranch with our last sold steer. He was too small to process at that point,...
